Location
Founded in 1986 in Challans, Vendée, the company Rolmer has become one of the leading French players in the seafood market and in the production of ultra-fresh seafood catering products.
Offer
From its factory in Challans, Vendée, Rolmer provides its customers with elaborated recipes 250 days a year: tartars, carpaccios, skewers, salmon roasts, stuffed dishes, sliced products, verrines, and other ultra-fresh products made from fish and seafood. Rolmer also ensures a quality of freshness and impeccable service; a major challenge for ultra-fresh products with a very short shelf life. With 95% of its sales made in Large and Medium-Sized Surfaces (GMS), Rolmer is a key player supplying all the major retail chains in France.
The company owns a 4,700 m2 factory for cutting, preparation, and assembly of fish. Certified IFS since 2007, this industrial facility, employing 150 people, allows for continuous research and development to create balanced, healthy, and environmentally friendly products, fully meeting consumers’ health concerns. Evidence of this is the fact that seafood consumption has more than tripled over the past 50 years. As a historical and efficient player, Rolmer has multiplied recipe and format innovations to develop new consumption opportunities for these seafood catering products, with nearly 20 innovations per year.
Website
I am delighted to join Rolmer, and I have been impressed by the professionalism of the existing team. The quality of interactions with Laurent Mauray has been decisive, particularly his commitment to maintaining the company’s progress without aligning with a large group.
At Rolmer, I find many of the challenges I encountered during my twelve years at Blini. Furthermore, I am pleased with the partnership with FrenchFood Capital, which I have known for a long time. Their extensive knowledge of the agri-food sector and the network they maintain are significant assets.
