Founded in 1905 by the Thomas family, Thomas Apiculture possesses historical expertise in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of beekeeping machinery for professionals (e.g., extraction, uncapping, honey and wax processing) and individuals. In addition, the group has diversified into distribution and offers a wide range of beekeeping products (hives, honey house equipment, feed, wax, etc.), making Thomas the second-largest player in the beekeeping equipment distribution market in France.

With over 30 employees, the company was acquired at the end of 2024 by the leadership duo Vincent Joffre and Benjamin Viala, supported by FrenchFood Capital. Generating over €10 million in revenue, Thomas Apiculture is the second-largest French distributor of beekeeping equipment and operates five beekeeping expertise centers located near Orléans, Montpellier, Nantes, Bordeaux, and Metz.
