Founded in 2008 by Alexandre Drouard and Samuel Nahon, two members of the Slow Food movement, the brand aims to restore connections between peasant producers and two essential links in the food chain: chefs and consumers.

The company collaborates with over 250 producers. Initially focusing on business-to-business operations, it supplies over 100 restaurant clients daily.

Starting from 2012, the first retail shops emerged with the opening of a grocery store, a fishmonger, and a butcher on Rue du Nil (Paris 2nd), later joined by a bakery three years later. Terroirs d’Avenir pioneers a new distribution concept by bringing together local artisans in several shops for a short and high-quality city center offering directly from the producers. These initial openings were quickly followed by three others: Rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud (Paris 11th), Rue Paul Bert (Paris 11th), and Rue du Capitaine Dreyfus (Montreuil).

Offer

Terroirs d’Avenir actively supports an agricultural and food system based on local economies and the interaction between its actors, from producers to consumers. The company has always worked directly with market gardeners, breeders, fishermen & fishmongers in France, Spain (Basque Country, Galicia), and Italy. It benefits from relationships woven over more than 10 years with producers, allowing them priority access to rare and quality products.

The products offered are selected seasonally from local producers who respect biodiversity and a “clean” production method, meaning they are respectful of life and the environment.

Testimonial

We have decided to write a new chapter for Terroirs d’Avenir with FrenchFood Capital in order to continue our development and promote quality products to a larger audience. Their passionate discourse, their expertise in the field, and their operational skills quickly convinced us that they were the right partners to help us take this new step.
